Military target should be easy
Article content
It will be easy to hit our 5% of GDP target for military spending. We simply just have to convert all military equipment (tanks, airplanes, subs, etc.) to run off renewable energy. The other option would be to reduce the denominator of the equation by eliminating all natural resource extraction like Trudeau was trying to do.

(That;s quite the idea. You think many of our peace keeping locations have decent charging stations?)

No bailouts for hail
Re: Council Supports Hail Resilience Program – But No Funding For It…
Why should Calgary taxpayers bale-out home owners, who do not take out insurance on their property. It is basic common sense to insure one’s property, prior to finalized the purchase with their financial institute.
Donald K Munroe
(We don’t think council was looking to bail anyone out, just incentivize using more hail-resistant materials to cover their homes.)
ALL ABOUT MODI ON TV
I wasn’t impressed with the TV coverage of the G7 Leaders’ Summit in Kananaskis, Alta. And it doesn’t even matter which Canadian network it was. We had to watch the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, ad nauseam. No such luck with the new president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum. We could not see her on Canadian television at all. That was so unfair.
JERZY RUDOWSKI
(But the online and print coverage was top notch, correct?)
