It’s so nice to see Canadians proudly waving our flag and wearing phrases like ‘Canada Is Not For Sale,’ ‘Never 51’ and ‘Elbows Up.’ Our government, due to unjust tariffs, has reduced trade barriers between provinces and territories while looking for new trade partners and realizing the trade potential of our natural resources worldwide. Canadians, please be patient. It will take time before the above bears fruit and our economy is revitalized. Give Prime Minister Mark Carney a chance to turn things around Eh!?

Same old, same old
From what I’ve seen so far out of Ottawa there doesn’t seem to be much difference in terms of the quality of leadership. Other than the fact that (Prime Minister Mark) Carney is more of a smooth talker than his predecessor, dresses and acts more dignified than Trudeau ever did, they seem to be cut from the same old rag. I guess it’s true that a Liberal is a Liberal is a Liberal. Thanks Ontario.

Right all wrong
So two current Alberta MLAs want to revive the PC Party in Alberta. When will the right in Alberta ever learn their lesson? No wonder this idea is putting a smile on the face of the leader of the NDP (and I am guessing the Liberal Party in Alberta are holding back a grin).
Last time there was infighting among the right in Alberta with the PC Party and the Wildrose, the end result was the election of the first NDP government in Alberta. To all those conservative folks in Alberta, take heed. Time to get along.

Knee deep
Re “Did Carney bend the knee to Trump?” (Postmedia News, July 1): Yes. Liberals spent the last decade seeking new ways to tax Canadians. It wasn’t posturing; he was testing taxation abroad to get new money. The man never had an original idea, he just plagiarizes others. In the last six months, (Mark) Carney took a card from (Donald) Trump’s deck and it flopped. He stole (Pierre) Poilievre’s platform and it worked. He donned Justin (Trudeau)’s jester outfit. We’ll be broke, living out of our EVs and with egg on our face when he’s through.
