So, all this talk about the feds reviving our stagnate economy. Here is something of Economics 101 that no politician ever has the gull to admit. Taxes are too high. Lower taxes will revive the economy.

What’s up, Snowbirds?

What is exactly up with the Canadian Snowbirds? These unCanadians travel to the U.S.A. every winter to escape Canada’s frigid wintry cold because they can afford to do it. In today’s political climate between Canada and the U.S.A., I would certainly consider them traitors to Canada. Why help the U.S. tourist industry and economy when Donald Trump wants to destroy Canada and make us its 51st state? Come on Snowbirds, show your patriotism to your country, Canada and spend your powerful dollars here in Canada or anywhere else in the world except in the U.S.A.

Time for consensus

I hope Canadian premiers come to a common consensus during their three days meeting on trade and tariffs; this being the time for our premiers to stand in unity during these troubling times. PM Mark Carney needs their full support having inherited a massive deficit to uncontrolled spending of Trudeau’s government There’s an old saying united we stand divided we fall and at no time in Canadian history does these words ring more true.

Carney grateful to Trump

Re: ‘Big Trouble’ letter, July 18. Carney is grateful to Trump for turning the Liberal voters back to him, which won him the election. Trump never scared away western voters. Anyway, it’s not a ‘stretch’ to say this Sun editor is on Carney’s side, re: the political situation in Canada.

Dogs need your help

Imagine being stuck in a cage not understanding what’s happening. Alone, confused and totally afraid. This is the fate of many dogs. Please, you can help. If you have any towels, doormats, blankets or anything that can ease their existence, consider donating them to an animal rescue before just chucking it away. I prefer ARCS, but any animal rescue organization will happily accept any donations. Of course, cash is king. But before you throw away anything that can make an animal’s life a bit better, please consider a simple trip to donate to the critters. Their lives matter too.
