The awards honour the top businesses, organizations and service providers in Calgary and area, based on input from you, our readers. Starting Aug. 18 and running until Sept. 8, readers can go online to vote for their favourites.

There are more than 160 categories available to vote in. They are grouped under seven general themes: food and drink; home services; shopping; entertainment and sports; automotive and real estate; health and fitness; and child services and education. Readers can vote in any or all of the larger groupings.
Whether you want to support your favourite coffee shop, autobody shop or dentist, there are categories covering all areas of everyday life. It’s a great opportunity to honour businesses that go that extra mile with service, quality or support.
The results of the Readers’ Choice Awards will be published in a special digital feature on the Calgary Herald and Calgary Sun on Nov. 13. The voting, which began at midnight on Aug. 18, will end at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 8.
To add extra incentive, anyone who votes for more than 10 businesses or organizations will be entered into a draw for a $250 cash prize. The winner will be chosen on Sept. 10.
