Another bright move by our prime minister. Recognizing the Palestinian state by the PM has basically put the final nail in the trade agreement coffin with the United States. Canada desperately needs a federal election to be called. In doing so, the 10-year Liberal regime will be finally flushed down the toilet, once and for all.

The road to nowhere began again when those foolish and scared Canadian voters elected Mark Carney as prime minister. As if 10 years of Justin Trudeau’s financial destruction wasn’t enough for everyone, bring it on again. Carney so far is just talk, nothing like any promise he campaigned on. The audacity for him to say no deal with Trump is better than a bad deal says it all. You’re a fake, Mark, just a wimp in a fancy suit too afraid to live up to your own hype. What about China and canola now?

Re “Israel is losing the propaganda wars” (Warren Kinsella, July 29): Powerful prose by Warren Kinsella! Is this a case of ‘The Boy Who Cried Wolf’ or is Israel intentionally starving civilian Gazans? From the onset on Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas has lied about every issue from lack of aid to the source of a bombed hospital. But this is war. No doubt there is a shortage of food. It appears that Israel is taking no chances by air dropping aid and opening the corridors for other agencies to truck in supplies. A defensive combatant that warns civilians regarding any attack in a war that was started in a treacherous massacre, holding civilian hostages after two years, deserves the benefit of any doubt.
