As some other countries already did, it seems it has come time for Canada to dissolve this dysfunctional union and form two to three new countries. Our 13 governments just can’t find the way to prosperity for Canada as a whole. We are getting poorer and poorer, while our leaders tell us everything is going well. Canadians are in love not with Canada of today but with images of Canada of many years ago. Unfortunately, that Canada no longer exists.

Nice going, baby boomers
For all those selfish baby boomers who voted for Mark Carney because they had an irrational fear of Donald Trump, they have screwed over their children, their grandchildren and, in some cases, their great grandchildren. The spending spree and the debt incurred by PM Carney will be paid down over the lifetime of several generations. The upcoming generations will have a lower standard of living, less opportunity for financial well-being, and be saddled with paying off an astronomical debt. It’s Mark Carney’s dream dystopia where you’ll own nothing and be happy. As Carney, the man with the plan, goes on a spending spree, one thing he never says is how he’ll pay for it all or from where the revenue will come. An untapped revenue stream is a Home Equity Tax, the Liberals have commissioned studies about such a tax since, at least 2020.

Coming of war
If, as American author Randolph Bourne averred, “War is the health of the state,” then the U.S., Israel, Iran and God knows what other nations are soon to become embroiled in yet another futile unwinnable forever war over weapons of mass destruction that will, allegedly, leave them a whole lot better off for it. Those able to juggle such contradiction with nimble Trumpian dexterity won’t be put off by absence of logic in this state of affairs while they blithely square the circle.

(Hamas started the war with Israel — Iran funded Hamas and Israel has the right to defend itself. The precision with which Israel has dismantled Iran’s leadership and military capabilities — and the U.S. with their bunker busters — is exactly why there won’t be a long, drawn-out war)
